Who We Are

The Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence (SWGDE) is a non-profit corporation that brings together organizations actively engaged in the field of digital and multimedia evidence. The current SWGDE membership is comprised of approximately 90 forensic experts and practitioners from Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement as well as private examiners, attorneys, and academia.

Our Impact

For over 20 years, the SWGDE has published more than 100 documents that have been used in civil and criminal legal proceedings, countless academic papers and training courses, general casework, and used to develop organizational standard operating procedures around the world.

How You Can Help

The SWGDE is recognized by the US Government as an Internal Revenue Section registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Tax ID 93-2063411. Your donations or sponsorship will support the continued creation of SWGDE work products and will fund travel for meetings, meeting space rental, and website/technology operations.
